Situated just a 5-minute walk from historic Togakushi Shrine, Oshi Ryokan is traditional lodging accommodation in the peaceful mountain area, which used to cater for pilgrims. We had a wonderful experience at the ryokan. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the owner was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Only a 10-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park, Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya offers simple Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. The location was fantastic. During our visit, the town was delightfully quiet with few tourists. It offered a serene atmosphere, and we enjoyed strolling to the nearby shrines.

A 3-minute walk from Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Kadowakikan features ski-to-door access, a hot spring bath and free WiFi. Mr. Kadowakikan was super friendly and helpful. He picked us up and dropped us off at the shuttle bus stop. He helped us order rental ski/snowboard equipment to the hotel. The hotel's own onsen was very clean and more comfortable than the town's free onsens.

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. The staff could not have been more lovely and helpful. The outdoor onsen was a great experience. They also made a delicious vegan breakfast for us which I'm missing greatly.

Minshuku Miyama offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Guests can relax in the public outdoor hot-spring baths and wear Japanese Yukata robes. Best customer service and perfect breakfast.
